Join us for an engaging and hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to give new life to food wrappers that would otherwise end up in landfills. This creative session focuses on upcycling, a sustainable practice that helps reduce waste while providing practical skills. Participants will transform used food wrappers into stylish and functional pouches that can be used for various purposes, such as carrying snacks, toiletries, or small personal items.

Objectives:

• Understand the importance of upcycling and sustainability.
• Learn basic sewing techniques and tools used in upcycling projects.
• Create a unique, functional pouch from food wrappers.

Materials Provided:

• Sewing supplies (needles, thread, scissors, and sewing machines)
• Stencils and designs for pouch shapes
• Ironing supplies for stabilising wrappers

Participants are to bring their own clean food wrappers e.g chip bags to personalize their projects.
